Rescue Mode: A Handy Trick — The last sentence should read
Because the kernel on the Red Hat Linux boot disk only has support for IDE built-in, those of you with SCSI-based systems won't be able to use this trick. In that case, you will have to use the rescue mode accessed with the linux rescue parameter mentioned above.
Building a Custom Kernel — Please note that the kgcc compiler must be used in Red Hat Linux 7.1 to recompile your kernel.
Running linuxconf — If you are in your user account and want to run Linuxconf, type su - and then linuxconf at a shell prompt, not su as stated in the manual. The - should change your path to include /sbin. If /sbin is not in your path, run Linuxconf with the command /sbin/linuxconf.
